The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is established in the year 2021, offers an undergraduate programme BE under the affiliation of Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum.
VKIT thrives to impart an effective technical education by means of experiential learning and thereby develop positive learning experiences. To emphasize on lifelong learning and applying knowledge on solving real world problems, the department conducts various technical events like hackathons, coding competitions, training programs, workshops and seminars. The Artificial Intelligence is the skill of the twenty-first century with evergreen Technology. The Department of AI &ML at VKIT is dedicated in providing innovative and high-quality technical education at the undergraduate level. The Department staffs provide the expertise and competency in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and related subjects that are required to prosper in today’s society.
AI and ML has become a fundamental Course for boosting the human knowledge, which is an essential part of creation, discovery, and innovation.
The main goal of the Department is to provide experiential learning opportunities such as research projects, hands-on training, project-based training, Industrial Visits and internships that provide a base for collaborating in multiple disciplines to design the future. The Department is busy with working on Artificial Intelligence Algorithms, Natural Language Processing, Image Processing, Pattern Recognition, and Machine Learning, Big-Data Analytics, with qualified and experienced team of faculty members.
